Michelle Cunningham, OD
Dr. Michelle Cunningham received her undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University in 1990 and her doctorate degree from The University of Houston in 1994. During that time, she received many leadership awards and was elected Outstanding Optometry Student by her peers.
A sixth generation Texan coming from the Central Texas area, Dr. Cunningham had a private practice for seven years and worked for the Veteran’s Healthcare System for three years.
She is highly trained and eager to serve in the following areas:I believe that every person deserves to be treated with respect and the highest quality of care available regardless of financial or social status.

Dr. Cunningham is married to Dr. Casey Cunningham, Chief Medical Officer of Terapio Pharmaceuticals and Chief Scientific Advisor for Sante Ventures in Austin, TX. They reside south of Tyler, TX.
Other interests of Dr. Cunningham include music and youth ministry. She plays guitar, flute, piano and sings with a world-renowned barbershop chorus in Dallas. In her free time, she likes reading, scrap-booking, animals and sports.
